About The Owner

Robert Redman has been repairing vehicles for over 25 years from all angles — hobby projects, professional auto body technician, estimator, manager, and owner. And if you know him, you know he’s a full-blown perfectionist!

His passion for auto body started at 15 years old when he helped his older brothers fully restore a 1984 Monte Carlo. After high school graduation, he attended college for Auto Body Repair in Mankato, MN, graduated first in his class, and won second place at MN Skills USA State Competition. He was a technician at Jerry's Body Shop in Mankato, MN during college; John’s Body Shop in Nicollet, MNfor 3 years after graduation; then a technician/manager at Kroubetz Auto Body in Lake Crystal, MN for 12 years; started and co-owned Jackson Collision & Classics in Jackson, MN for 9 years, before starting Redman Auto Body Garage.

In 2022, he decided to re-start from the ground up, literally. He purchased an undeveloped lot a mile south of Lakefield, MN and began the process of building a brand new body shop, putting his time, blood, sweat, and tears in to craft it just the way he wanted it. 

 

Outside of work, Robert loves to spend time with his family, go water skiing, or snowmobiling.  

Redman Auto Body Garage is based on integrity, honesty, and no shortcuts — treating clients the way we'd want to be treated. We take as much stress out of the process as we can and our attention to detail is second to none. Making vehicles look new again is our passion, and we love what we do!
